NOTRE-DAME DE LA TOUR CHURCH

Visits to the churches and chapels located in Sault, including the Notre-Dame-de-la-Tour, with a bell tower dating from the early century.
The Notre-Dame-de-la-Tour church is a composite structure and is listed as a Monument Historique. In the 12th century, it was a priory of Saint-André de Villeneuve-lès-Avignon. The three-bay Romanesque nave is interesting for its pointed barrel vault. It dates back to the very early 13th century, and was built with great care. Three radiating chapels opening onto the choir bay and western portal make up the highly-developed sanctuary.
