LA MAISON DU GIBASSIER
Stéphane Riquier has been running this family bakery for 30 years. What sets it apart is that it offers a symbol of the culinary tradition of the South of France: the gibassier. It's a delicious Provencal pastry, originally from the Aix-en-Provence region. Its ingredients are olive oil, flour, sugar and natural sourdough. Gibassier is reminiscent of all the flavors of the Mediterranean, and can be found in traditional Provençal festivities such as the thirteen desserts for Christmas. This Provencal pastry is to be enjoyed without moderation.
