It's one of those small, well-located town hotels on the street between the train station and the Palais des Papes. It's one of Avignon's oldest establishments. The rooms on the rue de la République side have been renovated and are accessible by elevator; for the others, you'll have to take the stairs. The pleasant surprise is the tree-lined terrace for a quiet breakfast. There's also a rooftop area with views over the rooftops. The bar offers cocktails, local wines, aperitifs and tapas. The lobby is welcoming.
