A small kitchen with copious plates at a very good quality-price ratio in Avignon.

The room is very small, but full of charm, with objects found here and there over the years. But it's the terrace that really catches the eye in fine weather, with its view of what is probably one of the city's most beautiful churches and its cute little checkered towels. We're right in the heart of the city and perfectly calm. What can we say about the cuisine? The plates are hearty and colorful. Don't expect great cuisine, but it's good and the service is impeccable. Excellent value for money!

Hele fijne avond gehad bij l’epicerie. Eten was heerlijk, Rhône wijn natuurlijk ook (betaalbaar en hele vriendelijke bediening. Staan in onze favorietenlijst!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. We had stopped by earlier to ask about reservations, and, contrary to what Google suggested, they did take reservations. It filled up fast. The evenings temperature was perfect. It was the most attentive service we have ever had in France! We got the L'assiette de L'Epicurie to share as it mentioned duck (of which we got four little slices of charcuterie-type meat) but found the dish overall delicious & varied &, by fellow diner's suggestion, we shared a Pavlova for dessert - layered cream/yogurt & meringue topped with a variety of berries - lovely!
