In the 15th century, this superb property on the northern slopes of the Montaiguet massif was the Clos du Roi René. With 25 hectares of vineyards, Château Simone has been owned by the Rougier family since 1830. It is the most famous château in the Palette appellation and was one of Churchill's favorite wines! The cellars, dug in the 16th century by the religious order of the Grands Carmes d'Aix, comprise several galleries on different levels, remarkable for their homogeneous temperature and natural hygrometry.
