In the ^15th century, this superb property was the Clos du Roi René. With a vineyard of 50 hectares, Château Simone has been owned by the Rougier family since 1830. The cellars, dug in the ^16th century by the religious order of the Grands Carmes d'Aix, contain several galleries on different levels; they are remarkable for their homogeneous temperature and natural hygrometry. It is said that this estate produces one of the best wines in the whole region... Note that it was one of Churchill's favorite wines!
