Night bar with a festive atmosphere and many dj nights, nice terrace and small convivial room, nice vodka menu.

How do you get to the heart of the drink favored by Eastern Europeans and now a must-have for Western night owls? Take a trip to Polikarpov, the only place in town to boast of being "the smallest vodka bar in Marseille...". Its name comes from the Russian fighter plane used against the Francoists in Spain. Here, it suggests the lightning effect of strong white alcohol (to be consumed in moderation). A wide range of vodka brands, from the sweetest, to the tangiest, to the peppery, to the minted, etc., to the basic Widokovaz, there's something for every taste. To choose from, Polish vodka, dry on the rock, with a dash of lemon and ice cubes remains the easiest way to enjoy it, again in moderation! Of course, there are other drinks at Polikarpov, non-alcoholic ones and black coffee in the morning in this little estaminet, which opens early in the morning and closes late at night. The lack of space inside is offset by the advantage of the terrace on the famous courtyard. At weekends, the bar organizes DJ evenings and even solo or duo performances.

A lovely place for drinks slightly away from the old town harbour area, loads of nice places to eat and drink on this street but we fancied this one as “Happy Hour” lasts from 6-9pm and a demi-litre of fine Provence Rose was only €7.50…????????????????????????
