In the heart of a lively street and a stone's throw from the market, this family-run business is a true Retais institution, established in 1990. Passed on from mother to daughter, Cécile has been welcoming chocolate lovers since 2017, with her handcrafted chocolates made from quality raw materials. As for specialties, the Petit Futé has a preference for galets de La Flotte and chocolate-covered marshmallows. There are plenty of other chocolates to discover, including many bars and ice creams to enjoy in summer. They're free from colorants and preservatives!

Low season: open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:30 pm to 7 pm; Sunday from 9 am to 12:30 pm. High season: every day from 9 am to midnight. From March to September: Monday to Sunday 9 am-12:30 pm and 2:30 pm-7 pm.

La Chocolatière is located in La Flotte. You will find there many types of chocolate presented in several forms and decorated for all the tastes. For gourmet bites, you can opt for the sultana, the natural truffle, the dark chocolate rock, the Grand Marnier, the almond tree and more. In addition to this variety, it also has ballotins and bars. Likewise ,discover its boxes composed by a nice assortment of flavors gathered and created with love. The pallets and gold boxes are quite idyllic as gifts. The house is also known for its incredible specialties. Treat yourself to its mussels, salted butter Carasel, Chocosel and more. Note that its chocolates are handcrafted. Some of these products are prepared in her store on the island of Ré with noble ingredients, pure cocoa butter , without palm oil. She favors local suppliers. A beautiful address for a sweetpleasure .

J'ai apprécié le fait que la boîte ait été enroulée dans du papier aluminium pour éviter qu'ils fondent avec la chaleur (même si je dois avouer qu'on ne leur a pas laissé le temps de fondre ????)
The proof is in the pistache flavour. No piles of fluffy ice cream and very seasonal flavours.
