This loop hike allows you to discover the landscapes and heritage of the Ossau Valley. The route follows ancient pastoral paths through meadows and woods to reach Sainte-Colome, a typical Ossalois village. The view from the three crosses overlooking the village offers you a panoramic view of the hills of the foothills and the first foothills of the Pyrenees. You will also enjoy the incredible view of the Arudy basin. This hike follows the paths of pilgrims from the 10th and 11th centuries. At that time, they arrived from Mifaget to go to Saint-Christine-du-Somport via Saint-Colome, Béost and Gabas before climbing to the Col des Moines at the foot of the Pic du Midi d'Ossau. All along the way, hospitals welcomed them. This walk only goes as far as Saint-Colome, but you will not miss admiring its Gothic church and its traditional houses.
