Two secular abbeys had to be brought together in the nineteenth century to form this village. This is the first lookout on the valley coming from Pau. The motto, which you can still read on the façade of a house, was: to the soum med repüsi, which translates easily at the top, I rest! 14 kilometers south of Gan, near Arudy (D 934), from the top of this village comes a beautiful perspective of the Ossau valley with some old houses carved by the eighteenth-century carved houses of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, its castle, old secular abbey of the sixteenth century, facing the peak of Midi, classified historical remains, to which the church of the sixteenth century is attached. Lower, Meyracq has its own chapel, of minor interest, but accommodating two redeployments of gold, one of which is classified. This village is also known for its tourist trio: Hotel-Restaurant, Fitness Establishment and Guest Rooms that animate the Quartier de Secours area.
