LAWRANCE PARK
A park with century-old trees, a remarkable villa, a playground and a merry-go-round. The perfect place to relax in Pau.
A haven of greenery and heritage, Lawrance Park owes its name to the villa nestled at its heart. The park features century-old Lebanese cedars, inviting lawns, a playground and a merry-go-round for children. The Flemish-German villa was originally owned by the Schlumberger family, before passing to the Lawrance family in 1893. Acquired by the City of Pau, it has long housed the Presidency of the University. Since 2002, it has housed the collections of the Cercle Anglais, adding a cultural touch to this enchanting setting.
