Since 2013, the City of Pyrenees is a reference place in the mountains and Pyrenees. On-site, you will find many key players such as the Maison de la Montagne aimed at connecting people to the Pyrenean chain, particularly through targeted cultural actions but also many associations: The French Alpine Club of Pau and the Ossau Valley, La Revue des Pyrénées, the Cyclo-Club béarnais, Les Amis du Parc National or the Société de Spéléologie et de Préhistoire des Pyrénées Ouest, the MJC Berlioz, responsible for reception and an associative bar, La Coulée Douce. Through its rather sensational architecture, the site is designed as an object that pays tribute to the summits and includes a canyon that makes it a real urban place of life. The two buildings connected by a bridge do not fail to intertwine; between wood and glass windows, you will find the Media Library of the mountain Henri Barrio. Totally dedicated to the universe of the Pyrenees, with over 800 topos of hiking, skiing, climbing or mountain biking, 100 topographic maps and 500 novels and biographies, among other things, it is the trump card of the city!
