This association, created in 1968, aims to preserve and restore the ancient churches of Béarn and their furniture. Its action follows four guidelines: assistance and advice to municipalities or associations, publication of documents on churches (including 24 monographs and 9 courses in Béarn, grouped in Archaeological Promenades), cultural and educational actions (conferences, exhibitions, animations) and finally the preservation and enhancement of liturgical furniture. A beautiful commitment that has enabled more than 50 years to uncover treasures found in buildings and sacristies in ruins and save almost a hundred churches throughout the Béarn.
