The MDPH is committed to facilitating the procedures of people with disabilities, to enable them to have faster access to their rights and services necessary on a daily basis. This information and support structure also contributes to raising awareness of disability among all citizens. Multi-disciplinary teams take care of people and assess their needs. Established in Pau and Anglet, this organisation always aims to broaden its influence and reach all types of disabilities throughout the department, thanks in particular to the support of the Departmental Council. Many services are also available online, including rights and the various existing mechanisms. Advice for carers, service guide, request: contacting the MDPH can be a first step towards integrating into society, breaking out of isolation and opening up to accessible activities depending on your type of disability.
