A restaurant that transports you from Pau to the gates of the Sahara without you having to leave your chair... The restaurant Ouarzazate keeps the sobriety proper to the southern regions of Morocco. Its room is discreetly strewn with friezes like zelliges, small mosaics typically oriental and the tables are each decorated with a lantern intended to illuminate the magic of the recipes served. Chicken tagines with preserved lemon, kefta with peppers and egg, mutton with almonds, couscous with meats or vegetarian, crispy briouates, tasty Harira, pastries with honey: served in traditional dishes, the dishes of this restaurant melt in the mouth as much as in the heart.

Nous sommes arrivés, ce vendredi 01/03/24, un peu avant l'ouverture. Le serveur était en train de mettre en place la salle. Il nous a bien accueilli. Nous avons réservé notre place et sommes revenus à l'horaire d'ouverture. Ce n'est pas la 1ère fois que l'on y mange et à chaque fois, c'est toujours aussi bon ! Le service est agréable. Comme toujours, nous avons pris le couscous Ouarzazate (poulet, mouton, brochette, merguez et kefta) : c'est un vrai régal et bien copieux. La viande est savoureuse ????

La salle est petite donc vivement conseillé de réserver sa table avant d'y aller car c'est souvent complet.
La cuisine est succulente, tout est fait sur place. Le patron est adorable. C'est toujours un plaisir d'y aller????????

Restaurant que nous avons beaucoup apprécié avec mon collègue. Les plats sont ultra frais et très savoureux. Les épices sont bien dosées. J’ai choisi un chakchouka et mon collègue le tajine mouton et poire (photo). Seul petit bémol: pas beaucoup de semoule, pensez à demander une portion supplémentaire si besoin. Très peu d’attente pour les plats et pas besoin de réserver le midi en semaine pour notre part. Vous pouvez aussi prendre à emporter (petite remise).
