This cross recalls the heroic end of Jean of Luxembourg, King of Bohemia died for France on 26 August 1346. It was restored in 1903. One can read his last words, «I requers you very especialement that you lead me if I can ferir a stroke of sword». On the sides, two sentences by Jean Froissart who praise the king and French knights. «John ferit a stroke or even three or four and fought valiantly», «The valiant knights were more expensive to die than bad fuite.
