Musée de l'Armistice in Compiègne, featuring a replica of the wagon in which the Armistice was signed, and a cab from the Marne since 2021.
The site received worldwide media attention on the occasion of the Centenary of the Armistice of the First World War. For the occasion, the Clairière and the sacred slab were renovated. After soaking up the poignant atmosphere of the site, don't miss a visit to the Armistice Museum. It has been completely renovated and keeps as a highlight the replica of the wagon where the Armistice was signed and a cab of the Marne since 2021. This museum also presents another historical episode: the Armistice of June 22, 1940 signed here between the Third Reich and the Pétain government.

Très beau musée. La présence de la réplique du wagon de l'armistice apporte encore plus de solennité. A voir!

Lieu emprunt d'histoire. A voir absolument avec les jeunes collégiens pour qu'ils s'imprègnent de notre histoire et prennent le temps de la réflexion. Très bien entretenu

Musée très intéressant. Quant on rentre dans ce musée, on se sent toute de suite à coeur de l'histoire. A visiter absolument si on est dans la région et surtout bien l'expliquer aux enfants
