Behind the pretty blue façade: brioche vendéenne (plain or chocolate), traditional gâche, fion (flan maraîchin) offered all year round in addition to pastries. Among the main cakes concocted by this craftsman, travel cakes: Délice des Chouans, chocolate fondant, Neapolitan, Nantes cake, big cookie with Nutella. On Sundays, the kouign-aman is in the spotlight. The other pastries change according to the season (entremets, fruit clafoutis...); on the bread side, there are about twenty of them with the star product, the Pétrisane.

Run by our two Freds, this pastry shop, one of the best in town, also offers a tea room on a covered terrace. Among the specialities, all home-made, the unavoidable mille-feuille and the Saint-Gilles cake, a speciality for over 40 years. Other key products include chocolate, delicious macaroons and homemade ice cream. Among the creations, the Sweety, the Chu Passion (chocolate mousse, fresh passion fruit jelly in a chocolate brownie shell) or the For Ever raspberry macaroon, rose cream, lychee and fresh raspberry.

The Biscuiterie incontournable of Noirmoutier has this^2nd store. Enjoy raspberry-white chocolate cookies, peach-caramel-salted butter shortbread, rhubarb-almond glaze, croquants, palets, meringues, prefou or salmon-dill shortbread, the delicious chocolate-caramel fondant heart, the good brioche. The flagship product, caramel, is available as a chocolate truffle, peanut or banana flambé. All homemade by chefs, in the Noirmoutier workshop, with exceptional regional raw materials and no preservatives or artificial coloring.

In Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, there are two typical markets: on the right bank, on the Croix-de-Vie side, on Place Kergoustin, at the foot of the Sainte-Croix church; or on the left bank, on the Saint-Gilles side, on Place du Marché-aux-Herbes and Place du Vieux-Port, near the Saint-Gilles church. Very popular with locals and summer visitors, they are particularly well-stocked at weekends, with a wide variety of food products from local producers: fish (including sardines when in season) and seafood from the nearby fish market, fruit and vegetables from Hilairo's market gardeners...
