Church built between 1898 and 1903, a chapel of Romano-Byzantine style whose crypt shelters the tomb of the priest Gaston Larre

Sainte-Eugénie church was built between 1898 and 1903. It was originally a small chapel in the Romanesque-Byzantine style. The interior walls are of Arudy blue stone, while the exterior is of Angoulême stone. The crypt houses the tomb of Gaston Larre, the parish's first parish priest. The crypt of this centuries-old monument is the setting for numerous events, particularly at Christmas. And the church is exceptionally well situated, overlooking Biarritz's fishing port and coves. At night, the site is particularly magical.

Située sur la promenade qui mène au rocher de la vierge, l'église vaut la peine que vous y fassiez un arrêt.
L'autel y est très beau et lors de notre vir, les statues étaient recouvertes de tissu, ce qui conférait au lieu une ambiance mystique!

Très belle chapelle non loin du rocher de la vierge. L'intérieur est à ne pas manquer. Au mois de décembre, des projections sont faites sur la façade ! Magnifique !
