Church built between 1898 and 1903, a chapel of Romano-Byzantine style whose crypt shelters the tomb of the priest Gaston Larre

Sainte-Eugénie church was built between 1898 and 1903. It was originally a small chapel in the Romanesque-Byzantine style. The interior walls are of Arudy blue stone, while the exterior is of Angoulême stone. The crypt houses the tomb of Gaston Larre, the parish's first parish priest. The crypt of this centuries-old monument is the setting for numerous events, particularly at Christmas. And the church is exceptionally well situated, overlooking Biarritz's fishing port and coves. At night, the site is particularly magical.

En bordure de l'océan face à une grande place très agréable, cette église se visite , un très bel intérieur à découvrir. En décembre de magnifiques projections sont faites sur la façade.

Ne pas manquer les expositions dans la crypte

Expositions gratuites dans la crypte au pied de l'église sainte Eugénie.. J'ai pu voir celle sur la mode à Biarritz depuis 1920(manifestation annuelle en mai) Très bien.
