Jo Moraiz was a precursor in this field and we can consider that it is him who brought surfing to Biarritz in the sixties. He created thefirst surf shop before setting up thefirst surf school in 1966, which is still world famous today. He is credited with the first and only teaching method adopted by the Federation as the basis for training for federal and state certificates. A school that also offers accommodation for students.
