Hotel in the city centre of the seaside resort of Biarritz offering fully equipped and air-conditioned rooms.

The Anjou Hotel is like one of those somewhat confidential addresses in an urban environment: it is a small bubble of calm in the heart of the seaside town. The establishment is in fact "split" into 3 pavilions and offers 34 rooms for 1 to 5 people. All are equipped with bathroom, hair dryer, television, safe and air conditioning. They are decorated in a sober and classic style. This hotel, which has existed since 1825, is friendly and family-oriented. It also has another practical advantage: a private parking lot, which is appreciated in the city center.

Seul l’emplacement est bien pour le reste personnel extrêmement désagréable … faites attention à vos affaires car si vous oubliez quelque chose dans votre chambre et bien la femme de ménage met tout ce qu elle trouve à la poubelle … en l’occurrence une boucle d’oreille. Je suis 1 h après notre départ revenu pour chercher la boucle d’oreille et on me dit ha ben je l’ai jeté.. vous n’aviez qu’à pas l’oublier !! Non mais en plus c est moi qui me fait engueuler .. et le patron qui se permet de me dire de partir avec la poubelle (poubelle commune de tout l’hôtel.. pas la poubelle de la salle de bain) pour fouiller chez moi car là en gros je le dérange car des clients vont arriver .. absolument délirant comme comportent ! Je n’ai jamais vu ça. J ai dû fouiller une énorme poche poubelle pour retrouver ma boucle d’oreille .. et pas une excuse .. non au contraire c était genre à moi de m’excuser. Franchement si vous faites un tel métier mais que vous n’aimez pas le service ou accueillir les gens vous devriez changer de boulot ! En tout cas je ne remettrai jamais un pied là bas.

Service was very poor - rooms not cleaned and when queried I was told it’s because it was a Sunday.

No hot water in the showers so had to shower cold.

Rooms are dated and in need of a revamp.

Could not recommend this hotel to anyone - much nicer in the area for similar price

Excellent location right in the town centre, a short walk to the main beach and plenty of restaurants and cafes close by. Staff were really nice, and priced reasonably although the hotel is simple and is looking dated, for example the carpet. But was very clean, comfy beds and a nice simple French breakfast. Would recommend for anyone looking in this price bracket.
