The National Scene The Theatre took place in 2012 in the old station of Saint-Nazaire, located in the City-Port district. In the Haussmann style, it was built here in 1857 because passengers from Paris could win the maritime station at 100 metres on foot, to sail on the ships and earn South America. Damaged but not destroyed during the war, it remains in service until 1955, the year of inauguration of the new SNCF station. In 1978, the city acquired the remaining buildings. After many years of abandonment and several years of successive work, she is fully rehabilitated and becomes the starting point for attending beautiful shows: theatre, dance, music, song, circus, performance… The entrance takes place by the arcades. The requalifiée nave is accessible from the arcades and from the northern parking lot.

Athénor has the particularity of focusing on the young public. The aim of this organization is to place art and culture in the heart of everyday life, and, for this, the structure is nomadic, investing different places and contexts. In Saint Nazaire, its birthplace and home port, Athénor offers multi-disciplinary programming to discover as early as early childhood. This programming is characterized by the diversity of forms and aesthetics, where theatre, music, dance, circus, visual arts are intertwined. It strives to witness the vitality of today's creation and the concern of artists to constantly renew languages for children and young people. Partnerships with the school sector also take place, which can lead to collaborative productions.

The Life (International scene of Emerging Forms) is a space dedicated to the production and dissemination of artistic creation in its various aspects, such as the plastic arts, music, architecture, performing arts, literature, cinema, or video and new media. It was imagined by the architect Berlin Finn Geipel. Inaugurated in April 2007, it became a major element in the recovery of the old submarine base. Life is close to 2000 m 2 on the ground, a reception capacity of 150 to 2500 people. In the programme: shows, exhibitions, concerts, projections, meetings; a regular bar and dance; day or night, a place of experience, meetings, discoveries and exchanges.

Le Théâtre, scène nationale de Saint-Nazaire is a theater located in Saint-Nazaire, inaugurated in 2012. Occupied by the national stage Le Théâtre, it offers a varied program of dance, music, theater, puppetry and magic, cinema, readings, performances, and much more. With a capacity of 802 seats, the theater offers a unique cultural experience for residents and visitors to Saint-Nazaire.
