Why 1910? Quite simply, it's 115 years of weaving history, beginning with Calixte and Anastasie who founded Tissages Lartigue in Oloron-Sainte-Marie. From 1910 to the present day, the story continues with Philippe Lartigue at the helm. In this impressive 250 m² boutique, you can visit the weaving workshop on site. You can follow the fabric's journey from creation to warping, winding, weaving and finishing. The result is a collection revisited each year with warm colors based on traditional Basque and bayadère stripes. Seductive presentations and a convivial space that sings of the region. There are also canvases by the meter: Haize, Argia, Pantxika, Eguzki... and a children's collection, bathroom linen, table linen, table runners, napkins, kitchen linen, aprons, tea towels, potholders, bags and accessories, beach towels, espadrilles, deckchairs... and curtains made to measure. The E.P.V. (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant - Living Heritage Company) label, a distinction for excellence in craftsmanship, is one more reason to discover one of the 7 boutiques of this emblematic weaver: Ascain, Bidos, Biarritz, Espelette, Bayonne, Hossegor and Saint-Jean-de-Luz. The "Linge Basque" GI label, awarded in 2020, guarantees the origin and quality of Basque linen.
