Pixte, the Basque aperitif par excellence, can be found in wine shops and delicatessens throughout the Basque Country. A pure beverage from a secret family recipe, developed over half a century, it's an aperitif with notes of cherry, almonds and various touches, but not too sweet, and a subtle blend of red wine and various local spirits.
