A marvellous view of the surrounding countryside when you stop here! You're in the heart of the beautiful Aldudes Valley to enjoy generous, well-crafted local cuisine. Family-style cooking using local farm produce: black pudding, Banka trout, lamb and Basque pork parillada cooked in the brazier, axoa, home-cured ham, boletus omelette in season, Ossau-Iraty cheese... The Laxague family also offer tours of their breeding farm and day excursions, where you can go up to the mountain pastures for evening milking and cheese-making.

Welcome to the Farm. Open all year round, every day except Sunday evening and Monday. Reservations recommended. Full menu €28 + à la carte. Groups welcome. Terrace. Farm visit by appointment. Mountain excursions from May 20 to August 20 on reservation (max 10 people).
Owner's Message
Come and discover our farm, in the Aldudes, in the Basque Country
We are above all a couple of breeders who have chosen to settle on the family farm in the Aldudes valley where we were both born. The choice to work only with local breeds in the continuity of what our parents did before us was a natural choice. Two of our three production workshops are labelled with the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée: AOP KINTOA for Basque pork and AOP OSSAU IRATY for black-headed Manex sheep.
Our Restaurant
Historically, our family has always owned a restaurant alongside the farm. We are the third generation of Laxague to welcome you to our home and show you the fruit of our work on the farm, always respecting what the previous generations have left us in terms of culinary and gastronomic know-how. Thus you will be able to taste a generous family cooking, with good products such as veal, beef, sheep, lamb and vegetables of the garden.
Come also to taste products of local producers of the valley, cheese, trout, honey, wine...
Our restaurant room is equipped with a large bay window as well as a terrace offering an incomparable panorama on the valley and the mountains.
And on reservation: spend a day in our shepherd's hut and discover and participate in the life of our farm!
