This museum, run by the Espace Porcelaine association, houses a former 19th-century round kiln, listed as a Monument Historique. 20 meters high and 7 meters wide, this remarkably well-preserved vestige, unique in France, gives an idea of the human activity and mastery of fire required to operate this brick monster, which fired 15,000 pieces of porcelain simultaneously. To get the most out of the site, we recommend a guided tour, which is highly instructive.

Opening time and information on CASKET OVEN MUSEUM
Open all year round. Monday to Saturday, 10am to 12:30pm and 2pm to 5:30pm. Closed Sundays and public holidays. Free admission for children under 12. Adults: €4.50. Children (aged 13 to 18): €2.50 (students: €2.50). Self-guided tour: no reservation required. Guided tour: book online, by phone or e-mail. In all cases, payment must be made at the museum just before the visit.

The Casseaux kiln museum is a listed site dedicated to one of the world's most famous ceramics, Limoges porcelain.
This 19th-century industrial building traces the history of this art industry through its technical and artistic aspects, as well as its social history.
Since it was opened to the public in 1992, the Casseaux kiln has been managed by the Espace Porcelaine association, whose mission is to protect and promote the industrial heritage of Limoges porcelain.

- die Ursprünge des Porzellans in Limoges kennen zu lernen = sehr gut gelungen! Leider alles in französisch, sehr wenig in englisch (schriftlich), daher für ausländische Gäste/Besucher zu wenig.
- eine Präsentation der neuen/aktuellen Produkte im Verkaufsraum = mangelhaft! Lieblos aufgebaut, Geschirr mit Preislisten, die teilweise schon vergilbt sind, Teller ... auf dem Boden gestapelt oder in Plastikkisten unter dem Tisch aufbewahrt.
Mein Eindruck: Niemand hat Interesse, die Marke Limoges werthaltig zu präsentieren. Schade!!!
Am Tag zuvor waren wir im Nationalmuseum, da stehen im Eingangsbereich Produkte im aktuelle Design. Sehr hübsche Sachen.
