LET YOURSELF BE TOLD ABOUT LIMOGES
Since 2008, Limoges has been awarded the label of "Ville d'Art et d'Histoire" (City of Art and History). The walks accompanied by a professional guide-lecturer are part of the city's heritage activities. Limoges, as you will discover, is historically split in two. The two proposed itineraries each set out to discover one of the parts of the city. The "upper town" tour (2h30) explores the secular town in place of the old castle. The route "from the cathedral to the train station" (2h) revolves around the bishopric, ventures out onto the platforms to go up to the train station (said to be the most beautiful in Europe) and will also introduce you to the Limoges of porcelain.
