VIGNOBLES STÉPHANE PUYOL
Château Barberousse, located in Saint-Émilion, is a winery owned by SCEA des Vignobles Stéphane Puyol. The vineyard was created in 1955 and covers an area of 70 ares. The main grape varieties grown are Merlot (70%), Cabernet Franc (15%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%). The grapes are harvested mechanically, and vinified in barrel, concrete and stainless-steel vats. The wine is aged in vats (50%), new barrels (30%) and barrels of one or more wines (20%). Château Barberousse produces an average of 30,000 bottles a year. The estate offers drop-in tours, as well as group visits by appointment. Visitors can also buy wine on site and enjoy a tasting session. The winemaker, Stéphane Puyol, is passionate about his work and invites visitors to discover Château Barberousse. Languages spoken on site are Spanish and French.
