A restaurant in Saint-Émilion with a large terrace and brasserie-style dishes served generously in addition to a daily menu.

Place de l'église monolithe is certainly one of the most beautiful, along with Place du clocher (of course!), but you'll have to stray further afield to find better gourmet addresses. Le Clos du Roy is less than a minute's walk away. In a quieter street, also benefiting from a shady terrace, chef T. Nolet's name rhymes with generosity. The recipes are traditional, the fries are homemade, the daily menu costs less than 30 euros and is served at lunchtime and in the evening... The restaurant closes on Mondays and Tuesdays in low season.

Nous avions pris un gravlax de truite c était excellent, par contre des frites surgelées soit disant fraîches surgelées dans un restaurant gastronomique avec un baba au rhum sans goût... vraiment déçu surtout avec une note excessive.

We had a wonderful dinner here last night. The service was fabulous. We had a fantastic meal starting with chacuterie, salad and then steak.

It pulls off the impossible. A unpretentious bistro in the most pretentious town. A non-touristy oasis in a tourist-choked burg. And afresh innovative take on traditional french food to boot. Knock those tourists out of the way and go here. Reservation needed.

One of my best meals ever. I literally shed a tear. The food is excellent, the wine selection lovely and the ambience is perfect - away from the chaos of the central square in St Emilion. Highly recommended. Do yourself a favour a book ahead to secure an outside table.

Serveuse débordée qui ne sourit même pas pour accueillir les clients et qui s’en va alors que je suis en train de lui parler pour savoir si une table est libre… nous sommes partis… dommage
