Spend a night in Pauillac, with locals and at an affordable price, is possible. We have discovered Les Phoenix, 4 guest houses installed in a big and beautiful recent house in the middle of a large garden with swimming pool. There is a kitchen accessible to all and a TV lounge. The places are simple but pleasant and comfortable; the atmosphere is family. Guests share a large bathroom (bright and functional); note that there are two rooms with washing corner. The owners have a sense of welcome and are very attentive as they leave for occupiers a fridge full of self-service drinks, as well as some provisions for snacks (cereals, tea, candies...). The breakfast is hearty. The house is in a quiet area, close to the centre of Pauillac and the Bages village.

De passage pour une nuitée le Phœnix se trouve sur le chemin de randonnée Chemin d’Amadour. Très bon accueil de notre hôte une maison très propre des chambres confortables. Les propriétaires sont dans une autre maison à côté. Nous avons mangé Le soir un excellent repas pour un prix très avantageux. De plus étant à pieds, notre hôtes nous a fait un tour en voiture pour découvrir les alentours. |Merci Christophe pour votre chaleureux accueil

Met and beat expectations, Pauillac is a small rural town and Les Phoenix epitomises all that is great about the region. The host makes sure all needs are catered for, one day having a lunch and dinner barbecue, to include everyone. A return trip to Pauillac would mean a return trip to Les Phoenix.
