SOLLE RACECOURSE
A former racecourse with PMU hosting flat, gallop, jump, hurdle, steeplechase, hunter and cross-country races.
Set in the famous Fontainebleau forest, the Solle racecourse is one of the oldest in France. In 1776, the Dukes of Artois and Chartres organized the first races here. But it wasn't until 1862 that the site was developed into its present form. The inauguration was attended by Napoleon III, Empress Eugénie and 30,000 spectators. Here, you'll see races on the flat, over jumps, steeplechase etc., and can admire the beauty of the horses in the running as well as learning all about tiercé, quarté and quinté +!
