In the heart of the forest of Fontainebleau, the château, surrounded by sumptuous and varied gardens, was the privileged residence of François I, who called on the greatest Italian artists to shape the gardens. While these superb spaces still retain the broad lines of the Renaissance, the gardens of Fontainebleau (Grand Parterre, Jardin de Diane and Jardin Anglais) have evolved to illustrate three centuries of landscape art in France. A must-see!

Une balade en plein nature pas très loin du château ou du lac.
Un endroit parfait pour se reposer et se ressourcer ♥️????
La configuration actuelle du jardin remonte à l'époque de Napoléon Ier.
Au centre, l’étang des Carpes, un vaste plan d’eau très agréable, avec en son milieu un joli pavillon construit pendant le règne de Louis XV.
Traversé par une jolie rivière bucolique et orné de belles sculptures, le jardin invite à la flânerie.
J’ai particulièrement apprécié la tranquillité du lieu : moins fréquenté que d’autres parties du domaine, il invite vraiment à la détente. Parfait pour une pause nature, un pique-nique, ou simplement pour s’asseoir (voire s’allonger) dans l’herbe, au calme, au bord de l’eau.
Un coin à ne pas manquer si vous cherchez un moment de repos à l’écart de la foule.
