A remarkable suspension bridge linking the Seine-Maritime and Eure rivers, and an Engineers’ Garden with explanations of its history.
This concrete and steel suspension bridge, 1,420 m long with 125 m pylons, crosses the Seine and links the Seine-Maritime and Eure departments. Begun in November 1955, it was put into service in July 1959, becoming the closest bridge to the Seine estuary until the construction of the Pont de Normandie, completed in 1995. To discover the bridge on foot, take the 2-hour explanatory walk starting from the visitor parking lots on either side. Extend your visit to the Maison de l’estuaire to discover the natural riches of the Seine.
