Hundreds of thousands of works, objects and documents transport visitors back to the century.

Housed in the Maison des Quatre Fils Aymon, the museum showcases the history and development of schools from the 16th to the 20th century, including a reconstructed classroom from Jules Ferry's school and numerous period objects. Temporary exhibitions are also scheduled, such as "Fantastique physique!" which runs until September 30, 2026. The museum also offers guided tours and workshops for children.

It’s fantastic city with own special atmosphere, energy, history and mysticism. And also I was surprised about fakhwerk architecture which is awesome, fantastic. Even some times is more interesting than in Germany…

Musee très intéressant et instructif malheureusement l'accueil et l'attitude méprisante et arrogante de la guide sont les points faibles. Dès notre arrivée, les 2 jeunes femmes du musée ont affiché une moue dédaigneuse. La guide a volontairement ignoré certaines de nos questions et a effectué une visite expéditive du musee. Quel dommage ! Ce musée mériterait un guide souriant, agréable, passionné et généreux dans le partage des connaissances.
