Historial Jeanne d’Arc immerses visitors in the story of La Pucelle in the century, thanks to an innovative digital tour.
Right next to the Cathedral, this monument plunges you right into the life of Joan of Arc in the heart of the 15th century. Judged a heretic, she was burnt at the stake in Rouen on 30th May 1431, aged just 20. To understand the influence of this character and the myth that has been built up over the centuries, an innovative digital tour takes you back to 1456, the year of Joan of Arc’s rehabilitation trial. The walls of the Archbishop’s Palace are brought to life by projection and mapping. The visit is especially fun for children.

Wonderful place to visit. They tell the history and story of Jeanne d'Arc (Joan of Arc) clearly and interestingly. For non French speakers, you are given a free translator headset, which works well. I highly recommend a visit here. It will be an hour of your life well spent. You will walk away understanding why Jeanne d'Arc is, quite rightly, so adored and respected in France. The views from the top of the building are also spectacular.

This was excellently done! As an American coming to Rouen, there's a lot to enjoy even in the off-season, and this museum was a "maybe if there's time" for me. I'm SO glad there was time. It's really well put together. It gives you an in-the-moment feel of the Joan of Arc's trial. It's right in the heart of everything else as well in a beautiful building. It's about an hour and a half of your day, and it's well spent.
