Gros-Horloge, one of Rouen’s symbols, with the hour hand and the sheep, the city’s emblem, represented several times.

It’s one of the town’s symbols. Remarkable first and foremost for its spelling, this building was in turn the town hall and belfry, of which a tower (1389) and a Renaissance pavilion (1527) remain, spanning the street via a low arch. You’ll find the town’s emblem - the sheep - depicted many times. On each side, a richly ornamented gilded lead dial is framed by two pilasters. You’ll notice that it has only one hand, the hour hand. The interior is a veritable time machine. Not to be missed.

Quality Tourism. Low season: open Tuesday to Sunday, 2pm to 6pm. High season: Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 7pm. Free for children under 6. Adults: €7.50. Children (aged 6 to 18): €3.80. Group (10 people): €3.80. Vacation vouchers. Booklet in Braille and large print. Children's welcome (audio tour for children (6-12 years) on the theme of Alice in Wonderland, in French and English). Une visite des plus intéressantes qui permets d'avoir un aperçu intérieur de ce monument significatif de la ville.

Le panorama en haut de la tour donné un aperçu encore plus beau de cette ville.

Très intéressant à visiter en tant que rouennais, on apprend beaucoup de choses sur ce moment sous lequel on est passé toute sa vie. Je n'avais jamais vu la ville et la cathédrale sous cet angle !

Un magnifique point de vu

J'aime beaucoup faire cette visite. D'abord prenez le temps de regarder les différents détails à l'extérieur. Trouverez vous ce petit détail sous la voute ? Regardez bien les anges. Puis faites votre visite, vous aurez ainsi beaucoup de détails et d'explications sur ce monument qui est un incontournable à Rouen. Le petit plus c'est la vue, lorsque vous arrivez en haut vous pouvez voir les passants. C'est vraiment très sympa.
