Château de La Brède, in the heart of a park, offering free tours to learn more about its regular garden

Classified as a historic monument since 1951, the Château de La Brède is a must-see. Set in 150 hectares of parkland, it was built in the 14thcentury and renovated during the Renaissance and 19th centuries. It was here that Charles-Louis de Secondat, Baron de La Brède and de Montesquieu, was born in 1689, and wrote much of De l'Esprit des lois. During the high season, guided or self-guided tours are organized to visit this surprising polygonal edifice and learn more about its regular garden.

La ultima visita es a las 16:30, nos la hicieron en francés, nos dieron la tradicción en papel al español, estuvo bien la visita guida, los espacios exteriores son muy grandes para pasear tranquilamente.
El precio de la entrada es de 11 euros, merece la pena ir a conocerlo.

Mooi en leuk Chateau! Hele aardige medewerkers. Tour is wel alleen in het Frans. Kasteel is heel goed onderhouden.
