Restructuring of the volcano located in Le Havre, with the new project of the centennial architect.
Wind in the branches of sassafras! The volcano, the national scene of the Oscar Niemeyer building, will be completely restructured for an announced amount of EUR 15 million. The site will be completely renovated, with the new centenary architect project that the Mayor of Le Havre went to meet in Brazil. A public institution for cultural cooperation will be established, providing management in place of the culture house. The volcano will have to close for one or two seasons, and the shows take place outside the walls. The Little Volcano is expected to leave a library, the cinema the Eden is already closed for non-compliance with safety standards. The adjoining Cabaret Electric should join a contemporary art centre located near the district of the Eure. In recent months, the Association of Culture has denounced these decisions. The volcano is boiling.
