This is where the Franche-Comté salt epic began, capturing the white gold from the depths of the earth. The Grande Saline, a Unesco Living Heritage site, is one of the world's oldest igneous salt production sites. Stroll 165 m through an impressive 13th-century underground gallery, discover the 19th-century wheel movement, and soak up the laborious atmosphere of the evaporation building, home to France's last salt pan. A booklet-game for children aged 6 to 13 is available.

Open all year round. See the website for opening times and guided tours, which vary from month to month. Free for children under 7. Adults: €9 (€24 family pass). Children (7 to 12 years): €4.50 (€5 from 13 to 18 years). Vacation vouchers. Children's welcome. Guided tour (for underground gallery; arrive 10 minutes early). Bring warm clothing: 12°C year-round in the gallery. Groups welcome.

Je signale que la visite est relativement fatigante car il y a beaucoup d'escaliers et quand on a du mal à marcher cela est gênant, mais la visite en vaut la peine. Les explications données par la guide étaient très audibles sans micro ce qui est très bien.
Je conseille cette visite à jumeler avec les salines royales d'arc et Senans.
Très joli lieux à découvrir à l'aide d'un guide.
Petit musée à l'étage et vidéo en fin de visite.
Vraiment sympa pour toute la famille.
