Cross the Pont de Pierre or Pont Napoléon bridge on foot or by tram to discover the Bastide district. The right bank of the Garonne is undergoing major changes; the former Orléans train station has been transformed into a multiplex cinema, restaurants, residential and office buildings are multiplying and the people of Bordeaux are moving into this district, seduced by the space and the magnificent view over the string of platforms and the Place de la Bourse. The large, wide lawns on the wharves have become very pleasant places to walk and picnic.
