The CAPC, Bordeaux's contemporary art museum, with its gigantic space, displays temporary exhibitions
The CAPC musée d'Art contemporain de Bordeaux offers a year-round program of temporary exhibitions and frequent cultural events. It is housed in the former Entrepôt douanier des denrées coloniales. In this gigantic space, artists make the place their own: an imposing hall with vaulted ceilings and stone columns, staircases where you can get lost... Not to mention the Arc en Rêve architecture center, dedicated to urban planning.

Je commencerais par préciser que je ne suis pas adepte de l'art contemporain ce qui biaise mon jugement du musée mais honnêtement, objectivement, c'est un bon musée mais un peu court sur patte, néanmoins il est très accessible, pas cher, et c'est un point central de la culture sur bordeaux. J'ai eu la chance d'accéder à la bibliothèque du musée qui est riche de nombreux ouvrages accessible sur demandes spécifiques. Un point intéressant est que les expositions sont très diverses et sur de nombreux thèmes

It's a small but lovely contemporary art museum. You can spend a whole day here if you are contemplating all the work in detail. Almost all descriptions are in French and English.

Les tableaux d’Emma Reyes sont incroyables, cependant 17h40 courrez vers la sortie, en effet le musée ferme à 18h et avec un manque de courtoisie on vous le fait bien comprendre, dommage…
