The CAPC, Bordeaux's contemporary art museum, with its gigantic space, displays temporary exhibitions
The CAPC musée d'Art contemporain de Bordeaux offers a year-round program of temporary exhibitions and frequent cultural events. It is housed in the former Entrepôt douanier des denrées coloniales. In this gigantic space, artists make the place their own: an imposing hall with vaulted ceilings and stone columns, staircases where you can get lost... Not to mention the Arc en Rêve architecture center, dedicated to urban planning.

Fabulous installations!! Such a beautiful juxtaposition to see contemporary art in such a lovely old city

Entree is laag (6eur p.p.) en daar krijg je een groot vrijwel leeg museum voor. Mooi gebouw maar met hoogwerkers en schilders die de vloer zwart schilderde. De tentoon gestelde zaken waren echt heel matig. De films gedateerd en slaapverwekkend. De “architectuur werd ontsiert door personeel dat haar eigen Aziatische maaltijd ter plekke stonden te bereiden. Het dakterras was totaal onduidelijk en door het weer aangetast. De Pollen tentoonstelling was eentonig met nogal onsmakelijke verrotte bloemen in half beslagen vitrines.

Ce lieu est absolument magnifique, malheureusement nous l'avons visité la nuit européenne des musées où le centre principal d'intérêt était un concert de musique électro. l'accès aux collections était limité et nous n'avons pas pu profiter réellement du musée, donc à refaire pour pouvoir peut-être mettre les 5 étoiles
