Building located in Bordeaux whose exterior is equipped with a facade with twelve Corinthian columns overhung by ancient statues

An emblematic monument and architectural masterpiece, the Grand Théâtre occupies a place of choice. The starting point of rue Sainte-Catherine and the Allées de Tourny, this building was designed by the architect Victor Louis. On the outside, observe the façade with its twelve Corinthian columns topped with antique statues. In the hall, look up: the dome is the work of the artist Robin and the chandelier is made of Bohemian crystals. Splendid! Guided tours on reservation.

I made the visit this summer, very interesting. It is necessary to get there at least once to see the interior and this magnificent room. Be careful if you go upstairs is no better to have vertigo, it is very steep:)
Superb italianate theatre very well preserved and renovated, I visited during the Heritage Days, the free entry enabled superb rooms and rooms usually not accessible to the public.
