This submarine base is one of the five bases housing submarine flotillas during the Second World War

The submarine base is one of five built on the Atlantic coast to house submarine flotillas during the Second World War. This imposing construction could never be destroyed due to its robustness. Beneath its bunker-like appearance, this 235-metre-long, 23-metre-high military relic is a cultural landmark not to be missed. Today, the base is home to the Bassins de Lumières immersive digital exhibitions.

Un lieu insolite avec toujours de nouvelles expositions (gratuites). Quel plaisir de déambuler dans la base sous-marine, de découvrir un artiste dans un endroit si particulier et dont les jeux de lumière et d'espace mettent en valeur les œuvres qui y sont exposés. A faire si vous êtes de passage sur Bordeaux!
