Abbey church of the former Benedictine monastery with remarkable votive offerings and a great organ renowned for its reconstruction
The abbey church of the former Benedictine monastery, founded in the 7th century, is a must-see! Inside, ex-votos depict scenes of rescue at sea. You can also admire the Dom Bedos organ, renowned for its reconstruction at the end of the last century. The bell tower to the right of the portal dates back to the 12th century, the porch to the 11th, while the bell tower to the left was added in the 19th century by the architect Abadie. The former Benedictine convent, which was originally converted into a hospice, now houses the École des Beaux-Arts.

If you are a church fan, this would be a place to come with me however there’s no sign in the door let you know when the doors are open.
This one is a lot construction going on just on the outside so it makes it a little bit not so sexy there. There’s a little square nearby couple restaurants you can have a drink a little snack or two enjoy yourself.
