Imayana is an augmented reality application from Bordeaux Tourist Office. This application lets visitors discover the Golden Triangle district in the 18th century, a period of great prosperity for the city. Thanks to a tablet loaned by the tourist office, visitors can walk around the district and discover the various historic sites. The tour begins at the Girondins statue and ends at the water mirror. Users can discover emblematic sites such as the Château Trompette, which was demolished in the 19th century, and the achievements of Intendant Tourny. The app uses augmented reality to show what life was like at the port in the 17th century, with the different players who crossed paths there. Visitors can also learn more about the people who frequented the Grand Théâtre. The Bordeaux Tourist Office also offers other tours, such as one of the city's basements.
