Coffee shops and tea rooms Bordeaux

Recently opened, this bright little coffee shop is a wonderful discovery. All day long, you can indulge in cakes, pastries and other gourmet pastries, such as the bacon roll with maple syrup. The drinks menu is a real eye-catcher, with delicious coffees and lattes, and especially a colorful Ice Tea Magic! On the savoury side, a number of world-influenced dishes are perfectly executed: subtly spiced shakshouka, creamy eggs Benedict, seasonal tartine on organic sourdough bread... Already our new favorite kitchen!

What a variety of coffees and teas! For a snack break, it's hard not to find something you like... Here, coffee is available in a thousand and one ways (espresso, decaffeinated, organic...). On the menu, the Grand Cru coffees coexist with the exceptional coffees, the Café Latté, the Viennois or the Latté Macchiato. In this tea room and Barista café, the tea menu is also very extensive: more than 200 varieties of tea, herbal tea and rooibos. Enough to please tea lovers! Accompany your drink with a slice of home-made cake and enjoy!

To experience a typical Neko café, head for Nekomata, where everything has been designed to fit in with this concept, which is all the rage in Japan. Welcomed by 9 adorable cats, you slip into comfortable slippers and choose your drink, which is included in the formula: here, you pay according to the time you spend there. Afterwards, you're free to settle down on a sofa or in the cool courtyard. You can pick from the mango library, nibble a Japanese snack(onigiris, mochis...), hand out some croquettes, and get your fill of purrs!

What a wonderful discovery this little tearoom is, with an atmosphere and decor as delicate and refined as the pastries! At Bergamote, the sweetness is as much in the welcome as in the gourmet offerings: macaroons, chocolates and marshmallows, golden pastries (including the famous New York roll that's all the rage), and superbly crafted pastries. The tartelettes fleurs, the signature dessert that changes with the seasons, are so beautiful you almost hesitate to eat them... But it would be wrong not to!

The nine cats of the Comptoir des Chats open the doors of their cozy refuge: installed on the colored sofas or in the inner courtyard, come and enjoy the soothing purrs of Molly, Garfield, Mignon, Marlow (our favorite!) and their friends... The welcome is adorable, and the pastries delicious: everything is cooked on the spot, from organic ingredients. As for drinks, the choice is hard between the thirty or so Mariage Frères teas and infusions, smoothies and bubble tea, or the very tasty hot chocolate, the house specialty.

Chic, British decor for this tea and restaurant. Two rooms for an impressive atmosphere: Victorian portraits watch you with a fun eye while the tables are decorated with silverware cooking objects. In the middle of the room, on a beautiful and long marble table, all the pastries are made home, beautiful to look and very tempting… To eat on site or to take away, you can only choose between chocolate, lemon pie or pistachios… And to accompany all these wonders, a rich selection of teas. But lovers of salt can rejoice as full pies are served, chef's bread, light salads… so that you can break down on the fabulous desserts! A so delicious address! It is better to book.

You can easily find Columbus Café by visiting your Fnac on St. Catherine Street. This is the restoration area installed in the space «Fnac café». A convenient way to grab a little bit before or after the races, Columbus offers as many salted products as sweet. If the Sandwiches can satisfy you, the choice is even more impressive in the area of drinks. Teas, coffees, chocolates, the choice of aroma and texture is quite remarkable and especially noticed. The customer takes the game and it is not uncommon for us to take his usual pomme apple-banane or Viennese chocolate. The proposed pastries are also delicious (muffin, cookies), most of which are prepared on the ground in the morning (as all the sandwiches proposed). In addition to this, the reception provided is of pleasant regularity in the mood and useless to say that you are soon conquered. A real area of relaxation and pleasure that perfectly fits the Fnac universe.

Rustic fruit pie, gluten-free chocolate fondant, carrot cake, banoffee, babka... Notice to the gourmets, it is at SIP Coffee Bar that you can enjoy your breakfast or your afternoon snack! At lunchtime, an affordable formula is proposed with home-made dishes like the grilled cheese with white ham, morbier and truffled shiitake, but also always at least one vegetarian proposal. Regularly, the SIP Coffee Bar plays the prolongation in the end of the week with evenings aperitif with topic, concerts, and other sympathetic events...

Behind the blue storefront of this café-library lie little treasures of literature and sweet treats we can't get enough of. Lemon meringue pie, fruit tarts, hazelnut and chocolate cookies... You're in for a treat in this warm, atypical place. For adults and children alike, the establishment offers a fine selection of books focusing on humanism and ecology. Drop in for lunch... Everything is homemade: lasagne, croques, cakes... all accompanied by salads and market vegetables.

The most authentic bubble teas in town! The kawaii fans are not mistaken and rush in this small blue store to order their favorite tea drink: milky, fruity, with tapioca pearls or fruit jelly... The menu also proposes some original creations, as well as excellent homemade daifuku (Japanese pastries made with glutinous rice dough filled with various flavors). The sign does rather take away, but you can choose to sit on one of the two big sofas. Attention, no toilets.

Here is a pretty British tea room just a stone's throw from Pellegrin University Hospital. Here, British cuisine is in the spotlight from breakfast, consisting of scones, soda bread and Guiness Bread (two Irish breads). At lunchtime, the meal is adapted to the market products and the seasons. In the summer, you will be tempted by a gazpacho, a roasted vegetable tart and, of course, for dessert, a slice of carrot cake! Almost all the products are from organic or sustainable agriculture. As far as drinks are concerned, we love ginger beer, a very refreshing non-alcoholic ginger ale, and IPA BrewDog beer with its fruity and tropical flavours. Tea Cosy also offers tea, served in a teapot.

Books and Coffee always makes you feel good! Located on rue Saint-James, this successful coffee shop boasts a beautiful interior space and a small sunny terrace overlooking the Grosse Cloche. You can eat or drink here at any time of day: breakfast, brunch, afternoon tea, afterwork... At lunchtime, salads and toasted sandwiches are served on their own or as part of a set menu. Adjacent to the tea room, the burnery and patisserie offer the opportunity to do some gourmet shopping.

Located in the heart of Bordeaux's Sainte-Colombe district, Café Joyeux is a café-restaurant that opened in 2020. You can stop in at any time of day, for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea. Our dishes are fresh, homemade and adapted to the seasons. The menu includes croque-monsieur, quiches, gourmet salads, pastries and hot and cold drinks. A vegetarian option is also available. Café Joyeux Bordeaux Sainte-Colombe offers a pleasant setting for daytime dining. The café also offers a takeaway service, but no delivery.
