Bordeaux wine tasting in a bar-restaurant with a terrace offering cheeses or cold meats.
The C.I.V.B. (Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux) wine bar is located on the first floor of the Hôtel Gobineau, the 18th-century building housing the Maison du Vin de Bordeaux. The building's decor is striking: monumental stained-glass windows by Buthaud, Aubusson tapestry, ultra-design furniture, not to mention a large bar with walls filled with bottles. A selection of some 30 wines served exclusively by the glass from the Bordeaux appellations (red, rosé, white, crémant and clairet) is on offer, as well as cheese and charcuterie platters.

We called before and that said this was ok, but when there they said you can only order one glass at the time, which was simply left on the table hastily. Waiter did not speak English. We asked for bread multiple times and it never came. Place felt stressed and like they wanted people to leave fast
