A remarkable lookout located on a dune in Arcachon, a privileged vantage point of the Ville d'Hiver.
This viewpoint, also called Sainte-Cécile observatory, is located on the dune of the same name. Privileged viewpoint of the Winter City, it dominates Arcachon from the top of its 15 meters. This metal tower was built in 1863 by the architect and engineer Paul Régnauld (who had a certain Gustave Eiffel as an assistant) and offers one of the most beautiful views of the basin. Limited to 8 people, the access can be impressive since the spiral staircase is only held by ropes and cables. One shakes sometimes while going up, but the game is worth the candle.
